As 2021 draws to a close, we’re taking a look back at a big year for the Nest Pro program. From new product launches to amazing new perks, here are some of the things we were most excited about this year.
1. A new way to get rewarded for your hard work:
We launched our loyalty program, Nest Pro Rewards, which lets you earn points for every eligible Nest product you install. You can spend them on some pretty great things, like Nest products to reinvest in your business, merchandise, and fun experiences.1
2. The small product that’s a big deal for HVAC pros:
The Nest Power Connector is the simple, affordable one-piece C-wire substitute designed to prevent power issues with any Nest thermostat. It’s quick and easy to install – no new thermostat wiring or drilling required.
3. The all-new security camera you can install almost anywhere:
The battery-powered Nest Cam knows the difference between people, animals, packages, and vehicles.2 You can install it wire-free or add even more benefits with an optional power cable accessory and a Nest Aware subscription (sold separately).
4. The floodlight camera everyone’s been waiting for:
You asked for it, and now it’s here. Nest Cam with floodlight comes with custom alerts, bright lights with 2400 lumens, and 180° motion detection.2
5. The new doorbell with built-in smarts:
Our first-ever battery-powered Nest Doorbell has built-in intelligent alerts and wired and wire-free installation options for maximum flexibility.2
6. The indoor camera at a price customers will love:
The new indoor wired Nest Cam makes a great bundle with other Nest Cams and Nest Doorbells. Visit your local stocking distributor or shop on the Pro Store to add all these new products to your portfolio.
7. A great way for HVAC pros to build long-term customer relationships:
HVAC monitoring launched on all Nest thermostats in late 2020, and we’ve been excited to watch pros reap the benefits this year. Here’s a New Year’s resolution for you: Remember to add your Pro ID whenever you install a Nest thermostat. That way, when customers get an alert about a potential HVAC system issue, your contact info will be front and center, so it’s easy for them to get in touch.
8. A new accolade for a long-time favorite:
The New York Times' Wirecutter recently voted the Nest Learning Thermostat “the best smart thermostat” for its intelligent learning features, ease of use, and beautiful, intuitive design.
9. A new way to connect with Nest Pros:
In May, we held our first Nest Pro Summit to share exciting product updates, information on the fast-growing connected home market, and more news from Google leadership. If you missed it, it’s not too late to register and watch the recording.
