The Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) has a redesigned backplate with 12 wire terminals, so it works in almost any home. It’s ASHRAE 62.2 compliant, and it’s compatible with up to 3 stages of heat and 2 cool for conventional systems, or up to 4H 2C for heat pumps and hybrid heat.2
And with more customizable controls, technicians can now choose between intelligent and advanced settings to ensure that the thermostat is optimized for your equipment, including high-efficiency heat pumps and variable speed systems.2

If technicians need help during installation, they can call the Pro Support line or scan the QR code on the Pro SKU packaging for more detailed instructions.
Cuts down on callbacks.
Like previous Nest thermostats, the Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) learns customer preferences and programs itself.3 Now these scheduling features are updated to give customers more control – and help limit callbacks. After installation, customers will get a detailed walkthrough on the Google Home app, and they can scan the QR code on the thermostat’s packaging to access the Welcome Guide. Plus, they’ll get an email with more info on features like Smart Schedule – so they’ll never be confused about what their thermostat is doing.

System Health Monitor is only available to registered Nest Pros. A person with legal signing authority for the Pro company can register for a Pro ID at g.co/nestpro. HVAC system alerts will surface the information of a Pro company if the Pro company is enrolled in HVAC System Health Monitor and a Pro ID is entered on the thermostat.
